[PROGRESS UPDATE] 0.10


Hey coomers, It's me again. 

The update is coming in nicely, I just had to wrap up some things in real life that was getting in the way of development. It seems that the scope of the update got a bit out of hand though, as I went and redid all the character sprites and added 9 possible poses for EVERY character, costumes included. This all took weeks, because I had to go back and retroactively add these new poses to every event and dialogue exchange. 

Also with this, I went and rewrote basically the entire intro, because I felt it wasn't up to standard with the writing of the latest events, I know it's probably a waste of time and no one cares but I was getting a lot of people dropping the game in the intro due to the writing quality. That and Todd's whole character was kind of one-note and tonally inconsistent with the rest of the game so I rewrote his character to make more sense. With that I also rewrote his connection to you and Roxy, which made me have to rewrite a lot of Roxy's events so they made more sense. I also gave Todd a brother, Nate which will be an OPTIONAL romanceable femboy character that will replace Niomi (I have plans for her later in the story) because I felt that her character was weak. I mainly just had her in the game for my love of blonde nerdy girls, but I feel like Nate is a much more interesting character. She'll come back though, I promise.

Other things still need to be done though before the update is ready for you. It'll probably be a few more weeks. First thing is UI, I've updated a lot of the ui to be more consistent with itself, as I think I've finally found a style I like. All I need to do now is change and fix a lot of the systems. I started with the quest UI because I wanted to make a way to see which quests the player hadn't found yet and give hints on how to unlock it. It took me a very, VERY long time to implement, I spent 7 hours yesterday just trying to get the bloody things move to different tabs based on quest progress. But it works now, so yay. 

Next on the UI chopping block is the girls tab on the side bar, I want to make it so that the quest information for the characters is displayed on that screen instead of the quest tab.  This is probably going to take a while, because I want to make the whole thing look snappier. 

Then I've got to change the power menu, as I'm scrapping the current way of upgrading your powers, because it creates a loop that forces players to complete EVERY event, which I don't really like and I've gotten feedback about it being a problem later down the line. Especially if there's optional gay content. I want to make sure that all content outside of the main couple of girls (roxy, emma, monroe probably, azalea) is optional. That's why I've made any gay content with Nate contained entirely in side quests. I might go back on this and just add him to the main cast but we'll see how the player reaction to it is.

So you might be hearing a lot of fixes, and rewrites in this update and are thinking "So that's it? almost 2 months for no new content?"

Uhhh.... Well there's 2 new side quests, and maybe I'll have time to add a mini h-event. But there'll also be a new training event with Monroe, because I know how much you all love Monroe.

Oh and there's going to be a patch notes button on the title screen from now on that will directly link to one of these Itch.io posts, or maybe the identical post I'll make on pixivFanbox. And right next to that button will be a Community Highlight spot that'll showcase a porn game that I've recently played that I reccomend. I've gotten into contact with a few developers but they haven't gotten back to me yet with consent to show their game there...
